Step Two:
Cut the chipboard mirror from the frame. Paint the mirror with pink acrylic paint. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle the chipboard with gold embossing powder and apply heat to set.

Step Three:
Glue pink pearl embellishments to the chipboard mirror.

Step Four:
Use a scalloped oval die to cut a piece of white cardstock. Use an oval die to cut a piece of Peeled Roses patterned paper. Ink and layer the cardstock and paper to create a frame for the mirror chipboard.

Step Five:
Fill the center of the mirror chipboard with vellum. Glue the mirror chipboard to the center of the oval frame created in Step Four.

Step Six:
Use a leaf die to cut four leaves from the Romantic Panels patterned paper. Glue the die-cut leaves to the top right and bottom left of the mirror embellishment. Top the leaves with pink and white roses.

Step Seven:
Cut the Dreamer Chipboard Word from the frame. Cut the "er" from the chipboard to make the word "Dream." Apply gold embossing powder to the chipboard word and heat to set. Glue the chipboard word to the bottom right corner of the card.

   Fabscraps crystal bling
Muslin [cheesecloth], stamens, wooden cotton reels, metal key, wooden frame, sewing machine, corrugated cardboard, feather wings, gesso, foliage metal dies, wadding, ink and flowers

C87 – ‘Sight Seeing’ treasure box - by Ewelina Gryglak

For this card you will need:

Mapped paper C87 004
Travel Outdoors paper C87 005
Stencil DS 054 C87 range
Sight Seeing chipboard DC87 007
Flowers: papers from Carders Pack MC87 001A, white card, enamel dots
Other: craft box, ribbon, white gouache paint, black and purple stamp ink, muslin cloth, glue

Instructions:

STEP 1:
Your base is a craft box with lid.
For the bottom part of the box, from the Mapped paper C87 004 cut out rectangles 2mm smaller than your sides and base. Glue them on.
For the lid part of the box, from the Travel Outdoors paper C87 005
cut out rectangles 2mm smaller than your sides and base. Glue them on.

STEP 2:
With white gouache paint apply a couple of layers onto Sight Seeing chipboard DC87 007 until it is uniform in colour. Separate the top half of the phrase from the frame and fold the frame in half at 90o – you might want to put a layer of glue on the bend so that it dries at an angle making it easier to attach to the lid later on.

STEP 3:
While the box and the chipboard are drying, prepare your flowers. I used Silhouette cut files to make flowers using papers from Carders Pack MC87 001A. I also used plain white card to cut additional floral elements.

STEP 4:
Once the box is dry, cut strips of ribbon and attach them on the inside of the box using glue.

STEP 5:
Using Stencil DS 054 C87 range and inks, add ‘stamps’ on top of the lid.

STEP 6:
Glue the chipboard to the lid. On top, assemble pieces of muslin cloth, flowers and floral embellishments to create dimension and cover the glued-on chipboard frame.

Once they dry, your box is ready to store souvenirs from your sight seeing adventures.
